Weekend Update

When dropping the boys off at school on Tuesday, I was telling them how excited I am to be leaving town for a few days.
Sensitive Optimus Prime asked me if I was going to miss him. Of course I will - to an extent. I explained to him that I'll miss HIM, but not the laundry, kitchen, arguing, poopy diapers, etc...

Where am I going? I'm heading out to Salt Lake City, Utah. It's been YEARS since I've been there. Probably about 8, I think.

See, I'm an administrator for an LDS-moms forum. There are 10 of us. And we've all been administrators for at least a few years now. One of these sisters I talk to on the phone, yet we've never met. One of these sisters actually came to the Stanley Hotel while Popeye & I were there last year hoping to give me a birthday present (but I had already checked out). We have grown quite close, us sisters. And tomorrow I get to meet them!!!

I'll pick up Sariqd at the airport and then we'll drive (with Grand Duchess in tow) to pick up another girl. And then we'll head up to my sister's house where we'll crash for the night before we head out to SLC.

Friday evening the sisters will do a session at the temple (I won't because I'll have Grand Duchess with me) so I'll sit at the visitor's center and crochet her another hat. I want to find a Hobby Lobby or something on the way there so that I can stock up on yarn.
I'm not sure what other things we'll be doing. My guess is a LOT of talking!!!

I am just so excited!!! 4 days without the kids. 4 days without the mess. 4 days of just me and Grand Duchess (who happens to be an excellent traveller) and my girlies. 4 days of only having to clean up after myself. 4 days of being in my van and coming home with it STILL clean.

Sigh. I am so happy.
