Today I took the three older kids to the outdoor swimming pool. After an hour in the sun, I left them drying off and headed home - they would follow as soon as they were warm.
About 20 minutes later Mr. Fantastic walked into my room and pronounced, "My ear is gone. I can't find it." The next 90 minutes were spent retracing steps, asking everyone, searching the bottom of the pool, searching drawers, retracing steps again, and praying. Lots and lots of praying. Oh yeah, and there were tears. I was starting to panic.
When I thought all hope was lost and I had a small plan of action to call another mother whose son was at the pool & to check Mr. Fantastic's towel (the only logical place that I hadn't looked at that point). On my way back home from the pool, Popeye popped out from the backyard with the ear in hand. He had found it by the towel.
And I started crying tears of gratitude to my Heavenly Father for answering our prayers.
It works fine, Mr. Fantastic can hear again and our faith is strengthened even more in the power of prayer.
I love tender mercies.

(((hugs))) So happy to hear of the outcome. I know how freaked I get when I lose my "ear" - so can empathize on all points.
precious, I love to hear stories like that!
Love those faith building experiences. (My first response is always to panic.) Isn't it amazing how Heavenly Father ALWAYS answers our prayers.
