Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
Popeye's being deployed. Did I already mention that earlier?
Yesterday we found out all the answers to the questions that have been haunting us for a few months now.
Where: Gitmo
When: June 18, 2012
How long: 9 months
I'm still processing thoughts and feelings and until I can really talk with Popeye about it (without the munchkins around), I won't be entirely clear about everything.
My brother just left for Afghanistan last week.
It's all so emotional for me right now.
But I have blessings in this - oh yes I do.
My prayers have been answered. Finally, my will is the same as my Heavenly Father's will. I kinda wanted Popeye to go - but only if God was on board with that, too. And if he were to go, then I REALLY was hoping for somewhere safe. Gitmo is such a place.
So while I'm not looking forward to him being gone, it's going to be okay.
A - okay.
That's it. Just thought you'd like to know the news.
Carry on.

Wow, that is quite the news. Prayers are with you and your family and Mike and the rest of the Pearce gang. I'm sending you "extra strength" vibes. :)
Also, your kids are seriously freakin cute.
Also, you are so pretty and look so much like your mom!
Hey! That is not so bad! There are many other more dangerous places to be deployed to. Being without him will be the most "fun" part! You can do it!!
Wow, wow! At least it's some place safe. I can't imagine being husband-less for 9 months. You are so brave. My sister just became an Army wife-her husband is away at boot camp for the next 5 month. I admire you! If anyone can do it, you can!:)
and 9 months is less than a year, right? :) Thinking of you!!!
wow and hugs . I know you can do it :)
whoa that is big news!
keeping you guys in my prayers. love you.
I know it's not easy to accept even when you've been willing to accept... However, I hope you know that we'd still (always!) love to have you and the munchkins down for a visit! C'mon... you don't want to deal with Nebraska weather. ;) Love you!
