I have a MAJOR party going on in my sinuses right now. It is so NOT FUN!!!
But you know what?
I went and got me some Alkaseltzer cold medicine today. That stuff seriously rocks. No headache for the past few hours and I was able to take a nap and breathe THROUGH MY NOSE. yeah. It's cool.

I also heard back from my tax lady today. man, pulling together all my stuff for taxes this past year was a lot more laborious that in previous years. A lot of driving to different law enforcement tests, Cranium Creations expenses, medical expenses, etc... It just seemed like there was more to report this year than in years past. Anyway. I heard back from Tax Lady and good news, we're getting more than we expected.
I didn't think we would. So I'm super happy about that.

I had parent/teacher conferences for all the kids yesterday. There was some good news and some not so good news. Disciplines have been established for the not-so good news and privileges granted for the good news.

Popeye HATES his job. I have never seen him so unhappy before. Ever. So, if you know of a law enforcement agency that's hiring and they pay well enough for a 7-person family - I'll take the suggestions! I know he's being deployed. But he's already started looking at other agencies. He's not hiding the fact that he's unhappy here, either. I thought he would (I mean, I have been) but that's how miserable he is. Poor man. This deployment can't come soon enough for him.

I was hoping to get down to Denver last week for a seminar on The Neptune - a waterproof processor for Mr. Fantastic's ear. But funds didn't allow it. Hopefully I can find the funding to get him one before summer! He would love to hear while in the water.

Maddie is doing well adjusting to our family. she is REALLY good at playing fetch and destroying balls. I try to take her to the park every day. She runs and runs and runs. And when I call her, she comes back. Perfect. She's sporting 2 ear infections right now. so I've been giving her medicine everyday. The doc thinks it's an allergic reation to her food. I switched out her food and haven't seen her shaking her head nearly as much as before. I think the meds are working and the new food is keeping her happy. I take her in for a checkup next Monday.

The kids are all good. Popeye scored a free laptop from another sailor last week and we got it up and running a few days ago. The kids are loving playing educational games online. I'm thinking I should set up a time limit thing. (Thor spent 3 hours on it this morning while I was cooped up in my foogy-headed state while lying in bed.)

Hmmm. I think that's it.
have a wonderful day y'all!

extra moolah is always NICE! I cannot even imagine how your hubby feels. Trapped comes to mind. Makes that home time all the more important.

Yay for more back than you planned. That's always nice. I'm so sorry you've been sick. Alkaseltzer Cold is Awesome!!!
It's so hard when the hubby hates his job. I hope Popeye can find something he enjoys. I'll keep an ear and eye open.
My kids get a timer for 30 minutes a day on the computer. That's just how it is in our house.

You know, when one is feeling trapped they start to act desperate. Not saying your husband is going to go do something crazy but as he's already being public to a degree about how unhappy he is there...? I'd tell you Seattle but I'm not there anymore but that's just okay with me. Come to AZ instead.

And man, I wish they made aids for underwater for me! Hope things work out for the Neptune for him!
