I get to upgrade my phone.
Don't get me wrong, my Razr was serving me just fine - until Princess Monkey Eyes stepped on it and cracked the face. Now it's a great, big, black blob. I can't see my contacts. I can't see who's beeping in. I can't see texts from anyone. I can't SEND texts to anyone. I can't delete the texts that I DO receive because I can't remember which buttons to push.
I'm lucky to be able to call a select few people just because I can remember the order of the "J's" and I messed up calling my sister-in-law because I forgot I put another contact above her, using their last name instead of first.
Anyway. It's frustrating.
But today in the mail I got a fun little pamphlet letting me know that I can upgrade my phone.
And with it being tax refund day (My FAVORITE day of the year), I can afford to buy myself a new phone. Preferrably one with access to music as my iPod isn't working, either.
So - what do you like? What DON'T you like? Why do you like or not like them. Do I go with a touch screen? Another flip? A slider? There are so many out there, I know. Palm Pre. Blackberry. Droid. Oh the options and I'm so darn clueless!!!
Seriously, I need help deciding and I have one week to figure it out!

we are Verizon too. I have the ENVY2. I like it a lot. I flips open to the keyboard screen for texting and stuff. The camera on it actually takes good pictures and we got the microSD cards that are like 4GB to download music on and I just put that in the little slot for it on the phone and there is my MP3 player. It's great.

I can't tell you how useful this thing is. I am so in love with my phone it is ridiculous. So, um, I recommend a droid-like touch screen thingy like the HTC Hero. Thank you.
Randy got me the Palm Pixi (the Pre's little sister) and I really like it. He has the Pre and he thinks he likes the Pixi better!
We love our Droids! (It had touch screen and a full keyboard so you can do both.) Mark works for Motorola so we may be biased, but they're the coolest phones right now...everywhere I take it out (ie when I'm getting an oil change, shopping, etc) people ask me about it.
Jason has a girlfriend. Her name is Blackberry. He loves her ... I'm a little jealous of how much attention he gives her and how much time they spend together ... Hehehe.
Personally, I hate texting and only have a cell phone for one reason: to make phone calls. So mine is just your basic, cheapo phone. I love it!
