The heat is on.

Not only is the temperature rising outside, but it's on the rise inside, too.

Here is what someone would hear in my home if they were to spend the day here.
"SHUT THE DOOR!!!"
"Get OFF my daughter!"
"Dot's coming!"
"Dot got out!"
"NOOO!"
"Go get her!"
"Mom, Dot is at that house again. The one with the big dogs."
"Mom, Dot won't come."
"I got her!"
"Sorry, Dot, back into your kennel you go."

Princess Polka Dot is in heat. She has found two rather large dogs who are more than willing to oblige her horniness. Part of me wants to let them, if only they weren't so large and I didn't want any more dogs around here.
I'm sick and tired of Dot trying to hump Grand Duchess. I'll put Duchess in her jumperoo and her fun is interrupted by this dog wrapping her paws around her legs, thus inhibiting her from jumping. It was funny the first time it happened. It's gotten old now.
I'm tired of monitoring where she is at all times.
I don't want to keep her penned up in her kennel for the next week and a half while we wait this out. But unfortunately for her, that's where she's going to be.
Yesterday I had to go get her from that one house with the big dogs & was a little scared because I had inturrupted their good time. Luckily they were wearing shock collars so I knew if I got far enough away they wouldn't follow.
Oh boy - she's getting fixed before this happens again. Luckily it only happens every 6 to 8 months.

I am NEVER having another female dog. Ever.
