The first time I heard of a sniagrab it was when I was living at home in Denver and my family went shopping for ski gear. I thought that sniagrab was another way to convey the message "ski and snowboard grab" because everything there was at a fraction of the price and it was all winter sporting goods! Much to my astonishment, it was not meant that way at all.
Sniagrab, for those of you who don't know, is 'bargains' spelled backward. And boy did I find some bargains today.
You all know how I feel about shopping at VoldeMart. Well, I found myself there this morning to grab some diapers for Thor and bread. As I was walking towards the diapers, I found myself drawn to the clearance section of the childrens clothes. Clearance signs were everywhere!!! I hate WalMart's clothes for the most part, but when you are on a tight budget, you tend to find yourself buying cheap products - especially when waiting is not an option. As I was looking at a cute little outfit for Grand Duchess, a store associate told me that all the racks with balloons tied to them were 50% off the already reduced price.
"So, you're telling me that this outfit that should've cost $10 originally and is now marked at $3 is really $1.50?"
"Yep!"
"SWEEEEET!"
Princess Monkey Eyes and I got giddy and started shopping, given it's payday today!
Here's the rundown on what I spent and should've spent:
Grand Duchess: should be $13. Spent $4.50
Thor: should be $6. Spent $2.50
Princess Monkey Eyes: should be $90. Spent $22.50
Optimus Prime: should be $26.50. Spent $9.50
Mr. Fantastic: should be $28. Spent $9
Popeye: should be $5. Spent $1.50
Myself: should be $24. Spent $8.50
With a grand total of should've spent $192.50 and only spent $58.00!!!! A grand total savings of $134.50!!!!
Princess Monkey Eyes is all done with school shopping and the boys just need pants now!
Oh, I loves me a good deal!

hmmm...there weren't any signs or balloons or discounted prices at 9:00 when I was there. DARN. Oh well...I'm done school shopping anyway. Great deals though, yeah!
Ohh, I hope that is a nationwide sniagrab because I still need school supplies and school clothes for the girls!
awesome! I was at wal-mart the other day and saw some baby sundresses that are spaghetti strapped (I'm not getting into the whole modesty thing, let's just suffice it to say that when it's 106 with 90% relative humidity I will allow my little girls to wear tanks around the house). They were only $2 and they looked like the really trendy big flowy tops they sell now. So I bought a couple of sized 3-6 month dresses and my 1 year old and my three year old wear them as tank tops. It was great! Oh and my three year old thinks the diaper covers are panties and I can't really stop her from wearing them so now she has two extra pairs of panties too lol. I love a good deal!
Awesome!! Can't beat bargains like that.
I personally can't stand WalMart, but sometimes the bargains are irresistable, and necessary, for us.
Glad you found so much good stuff for so cheap! You're an inspiration to us all. ;-)
