Change is good, sometimes

I wanted to dye my hair. I've been a brunette my whole life and lately I've been wanting a drastic change. But what color? I've gone auburn before - the closest I've been willing to go towards the red tones. I've highlighted my hair with blonde before and really liked how that was.
So why not go blonde all the way? See what it's like for a change. If anything, I can go back to brown if I don't like it, right?

I don't like it. Basically the blonde didn't turn blonde, more of a coppery-orange hue. BLECH. Next time I'll use a bleaching kit instead of a highlighting kit. But that may be towards summertime before I attempt that.

So this morning I went back to brown - well brown with orangey highlights. It's the best I could do.

And Princess Monkey Eyes thought she'd like to go brown, so I used the remainder of the bottle on her.

She makes a beautiful brunette! Pictures might follow. But just know that we are bobsy-twins today. Sporting "brown" hair pulled back into a ponytail with a flower holding it together, white shirts and jeans.

It was a fun bonding time with her. She turned out beautiful. Me, not so much. :D
