Grand Duchess discovered that all of her binkies were mysteriously broken yesterday. So she threw them all away. what a big girl! Until it came to bedtime. That was really hard for her. There were a lot of tears for her and a few for me. I actually felt kinda bad that I had broken them all without telling her about it. She was devastated! Today, however, she told me she found one more in my purse and that it wasn't broken. what a whipper snapper! So she got it for nap-time. And it has remained on her pillow ever since. This fight is not the one I want to fight right now. Not with us starting potty training next week. So she can have her blessed binky - in bed.
Over the past month we've been doing a lot of driving. and when I mean a lot I mean almost 4,000 MILES! the "new" engine in our van is now broken in and is running fine. So Yay!
But as I was driving, I was listening to the kids. They play with their DS games or watch movies. And in order for me to stay awake, I challenge myself to play the ABC game.
Between here and Cheyenne, I can get through the ABC game nearly 3 times. I start by going A-Z. No cheating. No using words with an 'X' in them for the letter X. There are 2 major trucking companies that facilitate that need - U.S. Xpress and Xtra. Not to mention there's a billboard just south of Cheyenne on the way to Ft. Collins advertising a dentist and that they do X-rays. (Yes, that counts.)
Anyway. It's amazing how many words you can come up with. After going from A-Z I go in reverse. But I'm not allowed to use the same words as I did before. And then the last round I do I just find a random word and start from there. I love playing the ABC game. Love. It.
We're moving. I've been in contact with the school out there, we have 2 houses that we're looking at renting. While we love the house that we found, we're not sure if it's what we should buy. So we're going to wait on it. It's not like everyone will be moving there - it's a pretty obscure place. So we can rent a house that's for sale (has been for over a year now) and smells like dog pee and is a little cramped and on the wrong side of the tracks or another larger house that they're not sure if they want to sell or just rent because eventually they want to turn it into a B&B. I like that house and I see us living there for awhile.
Whatever the situation turns into, I just hope that we can settle down soon. I'm getting tired of living out of boxes and I want to hang pictures and make my house MY OWN.
My sinuses are kicking my butt right now. Can't breathe. Can't sleep. Can't think. It's a change in the seasons - happens every year. I'm just completely out of commission right now.
Popeye leaves for 2 weeks on Monday for Navy stuff. It will help to pay for the move. But that leaves me all alone packing and cleaning and starting school. Lovely.
And school starts on Tuesday! YIPPEE!!!! I'm looking forward to it, as are the kiddos!
So. There you have it. A little bit of this and that.

So excited that you guys are making your move and going forward in faith! :) It is tough and boxes TOTALLY stink. Nearly my entire kitchen is in boxes because my kitchen is too small...smaller than my last one! ha ha
Stay strong!
