Princess Monkey Eyes and I have never seen eye to eye. In fact, we never really clicked from day one. She's very much daddy's girl.
But I wanted to change that.
So today she and I started our cowgirl adventure! We are letting our inner cowgirl come out and are taking horseback riding lessons.
We are SO EXCITED!
Today's lesson was all about safety, how to put on and take off the saddle and how to lead the horse properly.
I've been grilling her all afternoon on the steps you take to put the saddle on, the steps you take to take it off, what different tools and parts of the saddle are called...
she did awesome today - rattling off the answers and seriously thinking about what was being told to her. She was so attentive and smiling from ear to ear the whole time. Our instructor said that we'll probably get to ride on Wednesday since we did so well today! Yay!
There's one other little girl in our class - which makes for a fun morning! The classes are 2 hours long and we go 2-3 times a week!
I paid for each of us to have 10 lessons where with I'll bow out after that and let her keep going (since it is kinda costly).
But I will pay all the money in my account to have this experience with her!
