Check it out!

Yesterday I spent the WHOLE day in one of 2 places. My bedroom or WalMart. And just look at what was accomplished!

This is what my bedroom looked like before we pulled up the carpet on Thursday.

The carpet is up, the finish has been scraped off the floors (for the most part), the walls have been painted a (bold) beautiful color, the atrocious ceiling fan is gone & the cottage cheese has been scraped from the ceiling. It took from about 7:30 in the morning until 11:30 last night - but it was SO worth it!

The color is called "Trout Stream" & matches perfectly with one of the blues in the quilt I'm making.

I can't wait until it's all put back together again! The furniture will all be a chocolate brown - rusticized! I've put all the furniture back in now - so I won't be sleeping in the living room anymore. But I can't wait until it's DONE!

So, please, tell me what you think. Do you like the color?

I LOOOOVE the color! And good for you for going bold. ;) I can imagine the chocolate brown with those colors and the floor, and I think it sounds beautiful!

Painting the house is one of my favorite hobbies. Hard work, but so refreshing.

Way to go! It's awesome. :)

(And good job on that cottage cheese stuff - isn't it nasty...?) :P

It looks great! I love the colors you chose. I understand about the popcorn finish on the ceiling. I scraped it off of my son's ceiling this past summer. It looks sooo much better now! I'm doing the library next!

Keep up the good work!

very pretty. You've been in my house, you know I love bold paint colors! I think there are only 2 rooms in the whole house I haven't painted.

I need to get all the popcorn off my living/dining room ceiling!!!

Great job!

Did you do all that work by yourself!?! Or was Popeye assisting you? Either way - wow! I am not handy around the house, but was smart enough to marry a guy who can do it all. :) I like the color a lot; paint is the best - a cheap way to change a room completely.

I thought the first picture was the finished project at first. Then I realized that My computer had a glitch. Major improvement. Isn't redecorating fun?

I was cringing when I saw the first picture thinking, "Oh not my style so I just won't comment." But then I saw what you have done to change it and can comment: "I Love it!"
