Over at La la la la laaaah Sariqd is giving away her favorite things. It's her birthday, you see, and instead of me sending her something, she wants to send something away. (Personally, I think she's crazy.)
But I thought that it would be a good idea to try and get in on that & see if I can get an amazing package in the mail! (On a side note, I will be emailing her for her address so that she can get something from me.)
So I'll now be taking you on a brief trip down memory lane. Last year for my birthday I had a girl's night out - er, uh, IN. I invited some girlfriends over, popped in a chick flick & we did pedicures & ate food that was high in calories (and fat & sugar). They all brought me presents, even though I told them not to. It was a lot of fun!
In 2004 my mom surprised me by buying me a new washer & dryer from Sears & had it delivered to me. Popeye had tried all morning to keep me from going to the laundromat - but he did not succeed. I mean, it was LAUNDRY DAY! No one had clean clothes! It HAD to be done! So 3 hours, 10 loads and $30 later, the Sears guy showed up with my new appliances. I was so mad at Popeye for not telling me! Oh well!
And this year - on March 21st, I will have another birthday. And Popeye is taking me to the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO to spend the night & do some ghost hunting. I was secretly wanting to have a huge party for myself (since I'll be turning the big 3-0) with my new friends - but I'll just invite them all over 2 weeks early for a pre-30 bash! We're going to tear up carpets, finish wood floors, paint the walls & finish demo on the bathroom! Well, maybe. Maybe we'll just have another foot party & eat more high-in-calorie foods.
But I'm really excited to have an over-night excursion with Popeye. I hope to be a bit skinnier by then.
So those are some of my birthday memories AND a hopeful future one! Woo Hoo!
Happy Birthday Sariqd!

OH MY GOSH!!! March 21st is my daughter~s birthday!! That is too funny! It'll be a great one, I am sure!
Fun stories. :)
A girls night in sounds de-lovely.
And a washer and dryer....! Forget about it! :)
Rock on HRH! You're in the running! And? The girl's night in sounds like fun... hmm, I think I'll mention that to my gf's. :)
What ever you do, it sounds like it will be fun!
I too am turning the BIG 3-0 this year ... how can that be possible? Aren't we still twelve, singing and dancing to Bobby Brown around the fire at the latest PJS reunion? I hope your b-day is fantabulous!
