Stuff and Tuesday Tip!

Here are some random things happenin' in the Royal house today and this week... Be prepared, there are a few. You might want to take a potty break first. I'll wait.....

Okay. I broke the tv. Well, I guess it was already broken because we couldn't really see the picture on it. So I turned the tv and tried jiggling the cable and it snapped off. Stupid old tv. So now it was REALLY broken much to the dismay of Thor. The rest of the kids have done well without it, but Thor is having a really hard time. Sometimes that's just how he needs to unwind.
Anyway. So we're out a tv. Sucks really because that's how I like to unwind, too, and face it, it's a nice baby sitter at times.

Yesterday Popeye and I got the drain for the tub put in and the tub nailed into place. Everything is level and working great! I'm just so giddy about that.

Tonight is "Girls Night Out" in our little town. All the ladies meet at the Fine Arts center for goody bags and then go shopping downtown. Local work from home moms will be setting up booths at an abandoned store and we get to shop until we run out of money or they close the shops - whichever come first. They also put on a chick flick at the theater for a discounted price. We'll be seeing "New in Town" with Renae Zellwegger. Cool. So two of my girlies are bringing their munchkins over here until their hubbies get off of work and Popeye has said he will keep an eye on everyone for us. (As payment I have to teach his class on Sunday. SOOOO worth it!)

Anyway. So I called up one of the said girlies and told her I busted the tv and I didn't know what Popeye was going to do (original plan was to put in a movie with pizza) and she called me back offering me one of hers. She's so sweet! She's always willing to watch the kids when I need it and is just a good friend all around. So I guess she's willing to part with one of their tvs. But then as I was working today I was telling my client about it and she gave me her old tv. (It's newer than ours was.) SA-WEET! So that's pretty cool. Now Popeye can turn on the tv for the kids tonight and maybe he won't lose his mind.

Tomorrow Popeye is going fishing for a few days with his dad. He'll be gone until Sunday night. I really hope he catches something. I'm excited for him to go - he needs a break. But I'm sad he'll be gone so long. Boo hoo.

Let's see... doctor's appointment on Friday for me. Duchess got her first set of shots today. Poor thing - she's out cold right now. Popeye's feeding the elders tonight, too.

Hmmm, that might be all I can offer right now as to what's going on.

(And I'm really proud of Optimus Prime for scoring 3 last night. But still... I guess it beats Dairy Queen for everyone!)
