Monday's To Do List

Does the above picture prepare you for what I have going on today? I hope so. I don't have to "work" today. Is a mother's work ever done? No, but I was talking about my 'other' work. The one I get paid for monetarily. I love not having to work on Mondays. Some Mondays I do have to work, like next week, but today I don't. So I'm going to tackle my 'to do' list.

And this is it.

Living Room: (done)

dust, organize book shelf, vacuum, clear piano, put up some seasonal items (after all, today IS the first day of fall), light a candle, wash windows, put away all the things that Thor thought he needed out (again).

Dining Room: (done)

Wash & dust table and chairs, dust chair rail & light fixture, vacuum area rug, wash floor, put out new bowl with gourds & mini pumpkins for centerpiece.

Kitchen: (done minus the mopping & zucchini)

Run dishwasher, wash remaining dishes by hand, clean out refrigerator of science projects, wipe down shelves, wipe down fronts of cabinets, clean up spilled apple pie from last night, sweep & mop floor, take out garbage, shred remaining zucchini for freezing.

Bathrooms:

Uh, CLEAN & totally disinfect lower bathroom (eew, gross boys!), organize tools in upper bathroom & clean sink & toilet.

Bedrooms: (in process)

Make beds, pick up clutter, put dirty clothes in laundry room for washing, vacuum, throw away garbage, dust, clear all surfaces of clutter.

Miscellaneous:

Do some more laundry, go to grocery store, pick up kids from school, make taco soup for lunch, thaw chicken for dinner tonight.

I would REALLY love to tackle clearing out my two hall closets and organizing my laundry room. But all in moderation, right? I mean, I'm not Wonder Woman! But really, I think I am. I'm amazed at how much I am able to get accomplished each day when I don't have anyone else's house to clean. Maybe I should quit. Nah - at least THEIR houses stay clean longer than 20 minutes. Besides, I'm staying in great shape doing it!
