Tuesday Tip!

Popeye is trying to get a Pink Panther movie on for Princess Monkey Eyes right now (the classic cartoon one, not the movie-movie). It's quiet time and as soon as I finish this post, I'm heading to my bed for a nap.

Anyway. The DVD was skipping. So Popeye went to go clean it because obviously little fingers have smudged it ... again.

"Wipe it from the inside out!" (Had I not opened my post with that little story of the DVD being dirty, one might think that comment a little obscene.)

So that is today's tip. When cleaning a DVD, wipe it from the middle to the outer edge in straight strokes, not around in circles.

Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone! I'm off to take a nap!

So do you know why it is that you wipe it that way? I've always wondered...

If you need to do a really good cleaning job, you can use baking soda toothpaste on it (it has to be paste, not gel.) For some reason that will even help scratched discs work better.

Oooh, Lisa - I had heard that before! I forgot what it was, though! It should help save some of my movies from becoming destined for the trash.
But most of my movies are pirated, so I guess it's karma...

Here I am, glorious me. :) It was lovely to chat with you tonight, I hope you had a stellar open house tour. Come on over, I'm not hiding anymore. LOL
p.s. Thanx for the tip and the baking soda paste tip too, lisa! I shall file those away and hopefully remember them when needed!?!?

I'm an expert DVD wiper, my kids are always grabbing them with sticky fingers. The bakins soda paste really does help with those scratches.
