This & That

I've been tagged by sariqd to write about 7 random things about myself. Seriously? I can go pretty random, but I'll try to make this interesting.

1. My sophomore year of high school I sang back up for Barry Manilow. Surprisingly at the time I knew who he was. It was an experience I will NEVER forget. He is an amazing performer, really captivates the audience. When the show was over there was only one opportunity for pictures; all cameras in the corner & on the count of three they all clicked at the same time. No autographs. But I still have my backstage passes!

2. This is the first year in 7 that I haven't set a new year's resolution to lose weight. Not that I'm thrilled with the size that I am, I just don't have time to focus on that aspect of my life. I have too much to do & worrying about calories & fat intake just isn't that high on the priority list. Sorry. (That doesn't mean I won't ever get on a scale, though. I HAVE remained 3 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight for the past 2 months! Yay me!)

3. Hello. My name is Her Royal Highness & I am an addict. ("Hello, Her Royal Highness!")
I am addicted to patterned papers. They bring me so much joy! I LOVE looking at them & really don't want to use them at all. I just want to look at them. I am also addicted to fabric, blogging & sweets. I have no intention of trying to break any of these addictions & any who stand in my way should know that I will not be stopped & will go to all extremes to feed my addictions.

4. I really enjoy my out-of-the-home job. I clean houses. Yes, I clean other people's toilets for money. And I make good money for the time that I put in. 72 hours of work = $900. Not too bad, if I do say so myself. (I should put in the disclaimer that I do NOT enjoy cleaning "haz-mat house".)

5. I love to "win" the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes or the Powerball. I have been known to sit down & actually write out how I would spend my winnings. I've played Powerball once (because of reasons I'd rather not get into right now) and won't play again. And I have decided that to win the PCH, you need to be really old & won't be able to spend all your winnings because you'll die in the next 10 years. So I'll start "playing" that again in, oh, 40 years.

6. When I'm mad, I clean. When I'm sad, I eat. When I'm happy, I play. When I'm bored, I watch tv. And when I'm not motivated, I blog.

7. I actually DO have a favorite child. Thor is my favorite. I don't tell my other children this, but it's true. It might change someday, but today he is.
