Some of my favorite things

"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Brown paper packages tied up with string - These are a few of my favorite things."

I don't know why they play this song as a Christmas song - but it's fitting this week.

This past week has been a good one for me.

Here are some pics of things that have happened within the last week that are favorites of mine:

Christmas cards. They got mailed out and if I never got one to you, I'm eternally sorry. I still have a stack of them here on my desk - I just ran out of addresses (and time)... But I'm glad that they're out and about.

Mr. Fantastic can't carry a tune. He really can't. He tries - but it's not very pleasant to listen to, in all honesty. However, he auditioned for a solo in his christmas concert at school and got in on one of the ensembles. I'm so proud (and shocked)! I tried to upload the video of it - but it didn't work out for me (any tips welcome). Your ears will probably thank me, though, for not getting it uploaded correctly.

Ugg's. Two of my clients went in on a pair of these for me for "Christmas/Baby congrats/we've loved being your clients" present. They are oh, so comfy!!! If you've never worn them, then you are supremely missing out! I love them!!! And thank you again to my two favorite clients!!! (And they're not my faves because of the boots - but now they've completely topped the charts and no one is going to come close!)

There's more. Oh so much more. New batteries. Glorious food. Christmas lights. A paid day off from another client (she's seriously climbing the chart, too)! Popeye getting a WHOLE WEEK OFF over Christmas! (And the fact that he's willing to be with my crazy, loud, card-playing family for 4 of those days shows how much he must adore me.)

I know that I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again - just this last time. I am SOOO thankful this Christmas for friends and strangers who have been so kind to us. My heart is full to overflowing and words can not express my emotions adequately enough.

So tomorrow we head to visit with family. Which means we open presents in the morning. I better get cracking at wrapping those presents and finish getting packed (almost done with the latter - haven't started the previous...).

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone! I love all of my bloggy friends! You girls (and sometimes guys, too) rule!!! I hope that your holiday is filled with much food, laughter, and the true spirit of Christmas. May Christ's Spirit rest within your hearts this season and everyday hereafter.

I'm so happy for you! :-)

It sounds like this is shaping up to be 'the best Christmas ever' (as my Hubby says, every year).

I hope it will be!

Cheers and Best Wishes. ;-)
