I've got this list, see. It's a pretty lengthy list. And I would like ALL of it to be finished by the time Grand Duchess Finale (I'm thinking that's what we'll call her, what do you think?) comes. So that gives me 4 1/2 weeks. Maybe a little longer, because let's face it - I've never gone early. I refuse to be the first woman in history to be pregnant forever, but I probably won't go on my due date unless my super great doctor induces me.
Anyway. Let me enlighten you as to what exactly is on this super long list: Be prepared to be amazed. (Items highlighted in red are complete - I just don't know how to do a 'strike through' on this thing...)
-Build wooden bins for bills and papers (our bills really have no set "home" and they need one. I could buy some, but I have the wood already and I know what I want them to look like...)
-Make a blanket for Grand Duchess
-Buy fabric at Joann's this week because it's on sale
-Make double hanging closet rods for: boys' room, girls' room, coat closet
-Finish taxes spreadsheet
- update receipts
- get church records
- Go through filing cabinet
- top drawer
- bottom drawer
- Clear off both desks
- Find or make a home for EVERYTHING
- Clean and organize boys' room
- Transform beds into bunk beds
- Move Thor in
- Thor needs a bed and dresser
- Clean and organize Princess Monkey Eyes' room
- Clear out dresser for Grand Duchess
- Get baby clothes out of garage
- baby girl: wash and put away
- 24 month boy: wash and put away
- Buy closet rods
- Get hospital bag ready
- Get checklist online
- Make new years resolutions: 6 categories
- Make monthly menu for February
- Make ahead meals
- Sort through Thor's clothes and donate
- Sort through Princess' clothes and store
- Organize garage
- Sell weights
- Sell fish tank
- Air out Optimus Prime's mattress
- Make cards
- 'Love' for card group
- 'Thank you' for baby stuff
- Come up with a "plan"
- Plan A: Popeye is at drill
- Plan B: Popeye is at work
- Plan C: Induce
- Make a resolutions calendar to track progress
Pretty amazing list, yeah? I know, maybe I bite off more than I can chew. Maybe not. But these are things that need(ed) to be done. I know that I have other responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning (my own home along with my clients), laundry & taking care of my children... but all that can wait, can't it? I mean, my kids took care of themselves for the 2 days that it took me to read Harry Potter #7... They can surely find the cereal and milk again.
Anyway. Go head, pat me on the back and don't tell me to take it easy. I'm on a roll and having a great time doing it! And maybe all this work will help to get this baby out!!!

Go ahead, pat me on the shoulder

you are so nesting. I ended up having my kids around their due dates. Hope that the duchess comes on time for you. Hugs...thats a great list by the way.
Props for you. You can totally do it. You are amazing!
Great name!!! And impressive list-i never got the urge to nest??!! I was looking forward to it too. Good luck and come on baby!!
There is no DOUBT in my mind that you won't be able to accomplish this list...way to go so far! I will pray for you to have this baby on time...try to do LOTS of walking, although...I am sure with THAT list you will get PLENTY of moving around, lol.
How big is the fish tank? Hubbie is looking for a big one - maybe we can help you get one more thing in the red!
You are making great headway! It looks like you have more done than not, so kudos on all that, and good luck getting everything else done.
I wanted to send you something. Would you want to send me your address? (I know I should have it already, because you've sent me something in the past, but hey, you know, that's how my life goes - sometimes I lose things!)
Anyway. If you want to email me your address, I have something I'd like to send for Duchess' arrival. (hopefully I still have time!)
I like Duchess ... and I can't wait to here what her real world name is via PJS newsletters. I hope you get your To Do List finished before she arrives!
