Popeye has fixed the plumbing again. He is my hero!
I came home from work today wanting to take a shower and was advised that I smelled better than what had come up through the shower drain. I'll leave it at that.
2 hours and one industrial snake later, everything is draining beautifully. However, I feel that this is going to be an expensive fix in the long run. While Popeye was running the snake back up, he pulled a bunch of roots out with it. That's not good, in case you didn't know.
But for now, I get to shower and do laundry and use the toilet and not worry about the septic system backing up into my only working bathing apparatus.
I think I'll go enjoy that shower now. Afterall, I DID spend over 1 1/2 hours cleaning it.

YAY! Hero, indeed! I am glad you get to shower...there is NOTHING worse than a stinky pregnant woman, lol....kidding! Enjoy your shower!
Wahoo! What a man! Um, roots indeed are scary. I hope it's not too costly. Enjoy your shower. Nothing like a stinky pregnant woman. (I know!:O)
Ahh, the joy of septic tanks! (This being said with DEEP undertones of sarcasm.) We too have had our struggles ... ours being a one bathroom house and me not particularly handy with a plugger, Jason has received many a frantic "come home from work" call from me, as well. Here's hoping the roots were just a mean joke and not a serious problem ...
