I got my haircut today. I've been itching to get it done. Ever since Duchess was born (6 weeks ago - crazy!) my hair has completely lost its luster, shine, volume, etc... It has been a mere attachment to my head to keep it warm during the cold days. I have been attempting to manage it and make it beautiful. Not happenin'.
The split ends were beyond my control. The brittleness has made them worse. Not to mention that the hair product I used in the past to give it softness and shine no longer works.
Stupid hormones.
Anyway. My new do is a little shorter than I was expecting, but that's okay. It won't take long to grow out. Popeye didn't want me to cut it at all and was happy with the dry, brittle, drab, mess on my head. But he says it's cute and so I'm fine with that.
I'd show a before and after pic, but I didn't take any and my camera is upstairs and I'm too lazy to go get it and ask Popeye to take a pic for me. Not to mention I've been rearranging my basement and all my USB cords are in a box (remember the Tip?) and I have yet to find them.
Just imagine an A-line cut that is about chin length. So there.
Other things: we start training Duchess to sleep through the night this week. Tonight she's putting up quite the fight. Last night, not so much. We'll see who holds out longer. I will - I have serious sinus issues tonight and my head is throbbing so I'm hiding out in the basement where I can't hear her. Popeye has to deal with that tonight.
Also, Optimus Prime starts soccer this week. Mr. Fantastic starts piano lessons this week. I got a new cell phone - it's purple! AND I had a huge breakthrough in my inability to say NO to someone. I'm very proud of myself.
I'll give a tip tomorrow, I promise! Tonight I'm taking some Benadryl and going to bed.

can't wait to see your new haircut!
I too am in desperate need of a haircut. My stylist of 9 years moved a year ago, and I still haven't found his replacement. The girls who cut my hair last (way back in December) did an okay job with the cut, but the color ... it was bad. Very bad. It took all the shine and luster out of my hair and was a dull, mousy brown. ICK! I remember my post-pregnancy hair, and this situation was very similar, minus the lack of hair falling out in huge clumps.
Can't wait to see a picture! It sounds super cute! (And may give me some ideas since our hair texture is very similar - those curly Pearce genes!)
I can't wait to see a picture of your hair! The earliest any of my kids has slept through the night is at about nine or ten months. I'm sure that by the time I'm on the fourth, I'll be motivated to get it done sooner.
Fun, I love short hair- I got all of my kids hair cut in Utah. Soon, I will pay to get mine done I hope.
