Spaghetti noodles vs. any other noodle

Mr. Fantastic hates spaghetti. He wasn't always this way, though. When he was a toddler it was his favorite food. We'd have spaghetti every Friday night just because we knew he would eat it.

Now it's the worst thing that we can ever ask of him to eat. I can't say it's like pulling teeth (he actually enjoys that). I guess I can liken it to having a family portrait taken where everyone is smiling nicely - aint gonna happen.

However, if I change the noodles, all is well. I can switch it out to penne (like tonight) or bowties or shells or rigatoni and he'll eat it all without grumbling. I can even switch it up with linguini and he's fine with it.

What gives?

I totally get it! To my daughter, shells are not noodles, they are shells and they are the highest form of food gold. To her, the rest are all noodles, but none compare with the ever beloved 'shells'

With Kory it is all about textures when it comes to food...if it doesn't feel right, it just comes right back out! So....maybe it is a texture thing, or maybe just a mental thing, huh? Kids can be so silly!
